In Florida, Daiana started off at a very young age working with animals. Pet sitting for various families was the first on the list and what started as a simple and enjoyable part time job quickly expanded into multiple pet industry opportunities. Having had the opportunity to work in a couple different veterinarian offices gave her first hand experience in animal health, safety and over all animal behaviour. Daiana then branched out into the wide range of pet industry fields and chose pet grooming as her next course of action. She completed a long and comprehensive pet grooming course and trained under an advanced instructor who taught her that perfection was key and patience was a must. She took her knowledge in this field one step further enrolling and completing a course of over 100 hours in animal behaviourism. In this study she covered a broad range of subjects including: social behaviours, animal perception, handling techniques, pet first aid and behavioural problems and genetics. Daiana was introduced to the art of show grooming and was able to work on specific breeds to gain a better understanding of the demanding standards associated with this field. In later years she joined the show handling world and successfully championed specific breeds including: Borzoi, Doberman, Samoyed and Mastiff. With more knowledge in any field, comes more obligation and she found herself being asked to teach a few enthusiasts in search of becoming pet stylists. Incorporating teaching into her career has kept her both busy and fulfilled.

Throughout the years Daiana has both professionally groomed and taught in both the USA and Canada and has had many people from all over successfully accomplish their goals and have either groomed under their choice of salons or have moved on to start their own grooming business. In 2004 she finally made the platform for Comfy Couch Pet Services and formally launched it. Today Comfy Couch is a successful Pet Spa with many happy clients and a few new faces. With 18 Years under her belt learning and growing within the pet industry has been a wonderful experience. She is excited for the future knowledge she can gain and further services she can provide.

Her favourite dogs to groom are Standard Poodles, Bichons and Pomeranians, Her favourite clips are all creative! (Lion Clips, Specialty Poodle Clips and Mohawks!) She is owned and loved by her two English Bulldogs “Lou Lou” (aka- Moo) and “Choopy” (aka- Choopachoop)



Justine first came to Comfy Couch in search of a new career. She followed through with her career training through the Comfy Couch basic grooming course. Justine's skills and talent became apparent at the beginning stages of her training. By the end of her course Justine had grown to be an amazing groomer with much to offer the public and the grooming community. After spreading her wings and gaining more experience on her own, she decided to call Comfy Couch her “grooming home”. Today Justine joins Comfy Couch and brings with her four years of high quality grooming standards, talent and skills that demand and deserve attention and an obvious love for animals. Comfy Couch is honoured to have her on our team and welcomes her in joining us with all our future endeavours.

Justine is owned and Loved by her Bichon/Shih-Tzu cross “Carson” (aka- Mr. Fun Patrol) and her Siamese cat “Kita”



Brandy joined the Comfy Couch apprenticeship program in June of 2009, after following many different career paths she found herself comfortable and happy within the pet world. After finishing her course she expanded her services in various salons but decided Comfy Couch was where she wanted to be. Brandy is a compassionate and dedicated team member that we are proud to have with us. Not only is she a valuable groomer but she is also our salon manager. Brandy has expanded her compassionate touch to helping rescue foundations and their furry friends here in Calgary. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge as a groomer and to continue to grow in her professional skills.

Brandy’s favourite dogs to groom are Goldendoodles and Bichon/ Shih-tzu crosses. Brandy is owned and loved by her Chihuahua named “Sidney” (aka- The Princess) and her Siamese cat named “Thai” (aka-Baby Blue Eyes).
